Steel string guitars
Steel String guitars are available as both left or right handed, cutaway, with a full choice of timbers for the body, top plate and neck.
Models
The numbering system that I employ to describe my guitars roughly follows the standard numbering system employed by most makers, although the dimensions will vary slightly as all the guitar body shapes are my own.
Frets
Both 12 and 14 frets to body are available.
Soundboard
Soundboard bracing is based on the standard X brace. The sound and resilience of the soundboard being adjusted for response with careful thicknessing and the discrete placement of additional struts
Dimensions
The scale length, body size, body shape and neck width, are all made to measure to suit the playing style of the owner.
The playability and feel of the neck is adjusted to the customers playing style during the final stages of construction.
Custom design
Custom inlay on body, neck and head using coloured veneers, abalone, Ablam, MOP and other materials suited to the design selected.
Finishes
Finishes available are Nitro Cellulose Lacquer as standard. Sunburst colouring to the customer choice. Soon I hope to be able to offer water-based lacquer as the standard finish.
Strings
Strings and Machine Tuners are to the customer's choice.
Case
Each guitar comes with a hard case as standard with flight cases as an option at a slight additional cost.
All stages fully illustrated with colour photographs, clear drawings and detailed plans for each part of the instrument.
